Our Process

At Limelight Medical Aesthetics, the Sculptra® treatment process is designed for precision and comfort. Prior to your appointment, you'll complete a questionnaire and consent form, which Dr. Tyler reviews with you to address any questions. Photos are taken to track progress and refine future treatments. During the consultation, Dr. Tyler discusses areas for injection to achieve your desired aesthetic, offering either a full facial rejuvenation plan or focusing on specific concerns.

Your skin is then cleansed, measured, and marked for precise injection placement. To ensure comfort, a topical or injected anesthetic is applied, with a 15-minute wait if topical. Injections are performed using a cannula or sharp needle, tailored to the desired outcome and target area. Dr. Tyler's meticulous approach ensures each step is aligned with your aesthetic goals, helping to restore facial volume and stimulate natural collagen production effectively.

Pre & Post Treatment Care

Before your Sculptra® treatment, ensure your skin is cleansed to minimize complications. Exercise should be done before your appointment, as it's best to avoid it for the rest of the day to prevent product migration. To reduce bruising, refrain from alcohol, fish oil, aspirin, and turmeric for 3-4 days prior. Consider taking arnica a week before for better healing and Zyrtec and Pepcid on the day to help with swelling. If you have a history of cold sores, let us know so antiviral medication can be administered.

After treatment, you can resume exercise and makeup use after 24 hours. Avoid extended UV exposure and apply SPF 30+ until redness or swelling subsides. Massage treated areas in a circular motion five times a day for five days. You may use acetaminophen for discomfort and apply cold packs to reduce swelling, avoiding pressure.
